Custom toolbar in Word 2010
A custom toolbar in Word with your most frequently used features. This function is called the Quick Access Toolbar. Here’s how to use it.

Custom Toolbar per User
At the top of the screen, you’ll see small icons for Word’s most-used commands. All the way to the right is a dropdown menu where you can add more options. Another way to customize this menu in Office is by adding features directly from the Ribbon. Both methods are explained below.
Adding Features to the Office Toolbar
- Click the small arrow on the right side of the toolbar

- Clicking an option adds it to the toolbar

- Clicking an option again removes it from the menu. Options with a checkmark are currently shown in the toolbar.
- Click on >> More Commands to see all available options

- The list is quite long, but with a bit of searching, you can find the feature you’re looking for.
- Use the middle button on the screen to quickly move options around
Add Options Directly from the Screen
- Go to the feature on the screen that you want to add to the toolbar
- In this example, we’ll add the option >> Labels in Word to the menu
- You can find this option in Word under >> Mailings >> Labels

- Right-click on the option >> Labels

- A shortcut menu will appear
- Select >> Add to Quick Access Toolbar
- The Labels option is now added to the toolbar
- Repeat this action for your other most-used features
- Your custom toolbar is now ready to use
